The magazine ENVIS victim Support derives from over 5 years of collaboration with associations, bodies and universities in the field of victim support during the course of several European projects.

As of the year 2003 during the project for elders, women and children – victims of crime, a network was created between cities  (ENVIS European Network Victim Support) which over the years have also participated in European projects handling the theme of victims, their rights and opportunities of support present in Europe.

The network to date has faced the themes of most subjected and fragile victims such as old people, children and women with confrontation between the various partner cities on the good practices available in the various local realities.

The ENVIS magazine is consequently trying to give this network a push by publishing the diverse experiences, reflections, scientific studies and initiatives in act in the countries represented.
Public bodies, NGOs and universities, all interested in the various aspects of the victim support theme are taking part in the network.

The scientific committee represents the various partners and also comprehends important members of the scientific world working side by side with us in our efforts.
The site will be periodically updated with the various contributions coming from the partners of the ENVIS network.

The promoter association of the ENVIS VICTIM SUPPORT magazine, Laboratorio Salute Sociale,  (Association for Health Promotion) was created with the aim of promoting social health. Its purpose is to integrate social, health and psychological issues in order to create an approach which considers all the aspects of health as defined by the World Health Organization: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” (WHO, 1946).

The Association’s registered office is in Milan, Via dei Cinquecento, 12 – Here the magazine ” Laboratorio Salute Sociale ” is edited and distributed free of charge to associates and partners.
The Laboratorio Salute Sociale Association works in the field of the promotion of a holistic approach to health in particular by comparing European experiences on psychological and social aspects of health. It has participated in European programmes targeting “victims of crime”, and together, with its partners, has promoted several programs focusing the psychological and social approach to the problems of people with HIV and AIDS, or drug addiction. These problems were also targeted with regard to prison settings. The association promotes cultural debate on experiences and good practices in the field of social, psychological and health care through this same magazine sent charge-free to associates and partners.
