Some episodes reported in the news in these last few months have dramatically re-unearthed the problem of violence and discrimination perpetrated on disabled people, a very serious problem spread all over the world.

The Centre for Victims of Sexual Assault, Copenhagen (CVS), opened March 2000. The centre is situated in an acute gynaecological ward, which is open 24 hours. Examination and treatment is free of charge and is carried out under discretion.
